Join the Rhine Valley Fly Fishing Day 2014

Dear fly fisher

The Rhine Valley Fly Fishing Day is the autumn meeting point of the fly fishers in the corner of CH, AT, DE and FL (all countries can be reached within 15 min from the location). It is the place to cast, watch fly tiers, join free workshops and exchange ideas and fishing stories. Especially the professional tution by EFFA instructors and assistants and fly tiers as well as international fly fishers have contributed to the success of the event for many years. As the organizer of the event I was proud to welcome a steadily increasing amount of visitors in the recent years. So I want to invite you to take part in the event in September to make it another wonderful and interesting meet and greet event for all fly fishers. No matter if you want to take part as a workshop presenter, fly tier, lecturer or helper or only want to visit the event for a chat - feel free to join!

This year the event will take place on Sept 21, 2014 at the Erholungszentrum Rheinauen in Hohenems(AT). On Sept. 20 there will be instructor exams at site. It is possible to watch them on request.

In order to plan the event in detail it is necessary that you fill in the participation form especially if you want to become an active participant or helper or if you would like to join the dinner.

If you want to fish while you are in the Rhine Valley you can get licesces for rivers(like the mighty Alpine River Rhine - big trout and migratory white fish), chalk stream like canals with good grayling populations across the border in Switzerland or still waters with pike, catfish carp and more. Daily fishing Licences are available from Eur 17.- – Eur 30.- which is quite acceptable. The weekly licence for the Swiss part of the Alpine River Rhine(about 60 km) is about CHF 105.-. For Austrian waters a national fishing exam(AT, CH, DE, …)  is required to buy a licence. Think of it!
